Swim The Iowa River Challenge

Swimmers:  Are you up for a challenge this summer?  The Iowa River is approximately 300 miles long.  We are challenging you to swim that distance in our pool this summer from July 1-September 30.  300 miles??!  That’s a lot!  Well, we’ll help you out!  For each mile you swim in the pool, we will count it as 20 miles in the river!

This challenge is on the honor system and you can keep track of your mileage in the binder at the Service Center.

Registration forms are available at the Business Desk.  Upon completion of all 300 miles, participants will receive a t-shirt!

AND, if you are participating in the Tortoise Triathlon Challenge, the swimming will count toward both! 

Cost:  $12.00 per person

Need a little help swimming your miles?  You can also complete your miles with a partner!
