Health Promotion Services is Hiring:  

Building Supervisor(s)
Available hours: 
Applicants must be minimum 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Must be able to provide great member service while supervising the facility and activities, and enforcing Y policies and procedures. Assist members and staff with program activities, respond to emergency situations, First Aid Provision, Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications required (can certify through the Y).   All positions are less than 18 hours per week. Exercise Area Attendants: 
Available hours:
Applicants must be minimum 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.  Encourage member use of the Exercise Area through assistance, instruction and maintenance of equipment.  Teach and motivate Exercise Area participants to use equipment in effective, safe and beneficial manner.  Keep the Exercise Area clean, open and in good working order.  Knowledge of exercise science and experience with safe effective equipment use required. Character Development is Hiring: 

Child Care Program Site Manager
Do you have a passion for youth development, leadership, and creating safe, engaging environments where children can thrive? The Muscatine Community YMCA is seeking a dedicated Child Care Program Site Manager to lead our licensed school-age child care programs and make a meaningful impact in our community.

32 Hours Per Week

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
✔ Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate child care staff
✔ Ensure compliance with Iowa licensing standards and YMCA policies
✔ Maintain staff schedules and child-to-staff ratios
✔ Develop and oversee age-appropriate, child-centered programming for youth 4-12 years old
✔ Communicate with families regarding children’s participation and program information
✔ Maintain staff, participant, and payroll records
✔ Promote YMCA programs and build community relationships
✔ Provide direct care and leadership support when needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High school diploma or GED required
• Current certification in CPR, First Aid, and Iowa Mandatory Reporter Training (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Must meet Iowa Department of Health and Human Services qualifications for Child Care Center On-Site Supervisor, including:

  • A minimum of 75 qualification points through a combination of education, experience, and child development training
  • At least 10 points from child care or child-related experience
  • Experience working with school-age youth is highly preferred

Youth Facilitator
Part-time position working with middle school youth in recreation and Leadership Development. Work hours are 4:00 to 6:30pm, 2-3 days a week.
